The Impact Scholars Program was created in 2023 by a team of dedicated Climatematch volunteers to support the real-world impact of student projects launched during the July Academy, recognizing that a few weeks of project work during the Academy is rarely enough to realize the full innovative potential of its diverse, interdisciplinary teams.
Since then, the program has expanded into a cross-Academy initiative that includes scholars from all Neuromatch and Climatematch courses. Each year, scholars collaborate on research projects that culminate in:
- Micropublications
- Summaries for the general public
- Seminar presentations
